bio of "Shelter in the Wreckage" Tom Paisley & Melanie Rodgers

          Shelter in the Wreckage, a Birmingham, AL based duo, is a partnership between Tom Paisley and Melanie Rodgers. Both emerge from classical backgrounds and training, but have developed a unique style blended from across the musical spectrum.

While Tom spends much of his time writing and and co-arranging for Shelter in the Wreckage, Melanie works as a professional musician in the southeast region. balancing violin mentoring with session recording and various musical theatre and solo projects. You can also see her in a number of Birmingham-based ensembles, including "The Five O'clock Band', "Behind the Canvas", and as a founding member of the "Blue Galaxy String Project".
