Lori Cooper and Tammie Dischner
Tammie Jo Dischner – Born and raised in East Tennessee on a small farm in Knoxville she now lives in Powell, TN. Growing up she was introduced to a wide variety of musical genres but Bluegrass always had a special place in her heart reminding her of her rich mountain heritage. Although she always loved writing and singing, she was a bit too shy to share her songs or perform them but took a chance and entered her song “Field Of Clover” into the 2013 Smoky Mountain Songwriter Festival (SMSWF) in Galtinburg, TN and won the People’s Choice Award. In the 2014 SMSWF she received two honorable mentions. She is Vice-President of the Knoxville Songwriters Association.
Lori Cooper plays guitar for her sister Tammie. She also plays piano, dulcimer, harp…well, she can figure out how to play just about any musical instrument. Lori has been blessed with the same humble upbringing and has a strong love for her family and the simple things in life. Lori lives in Seymour, TN and feels strongly about keeping the old mountain ways alive as in spinning wool and tatting. She is a folk artist and loves to incorporate her beautiful surroundings into her artwork and poetry.
Together, Tammie and Lori are simply – Wild Mountain Daisies
