Bobby Starnes considers himself a songwriter, not a singer-songwriter. “I have been blessed to have worked with a lot of great singers and I am not one of them”. Bobby has over 30 cuts from some of the biggest names in bluegrass, including Blue Highway, The Boxcars, Claire Lynch, Larry Sparks, and many others, he’s basically known as a bluegrass writer but his catalogue of over 400 hundred songs includes country, gospel, jazz, Texas swing, rock-n-roll, Americana, as well as bluegrass.
In the past three years, songwriter extraordinaire Bobby Starnes had four songs on two different Grammy-nominated Bluegrass recordings, and he’s had 23 songs recorded this year alone!
