Band Playoff
The Smoky Mountains Songwriters Festival will award 20 slots to the best bands with original music applying to perform in the 2014 SMSWF Band Playoff at Three Jimmy’s Eatery during the 3rd annual SMSWF Aug. 21-24, 2014. Apply below. We will announce the bands chosen July 27th.
The top 3 winning bands on Sunday at the final playoff will receive select prizes from the music industry and a paid gig at Three Jimmy’s to be scheduled sometime after September 15, 2014 and no later than July 31, 2015.
Selected bands will perform three songs in front of a panel made up of A&R Reps, record labels, publishers, booking agents and other music industry pros as well as the public, friends and fans. Each day the top 3 bands from that day’s playoff will be announced. The winners from each day will have the opportunity to perform their favorite of their original songs during the end of the day’s SMSWF Band Playoff festivities. The daily winners will qualify for the final playoff round of competition that will take place on Sunday August 24th.
Only original songs or music allowed. Bands will have 15 minutes to turn the stage. Bands must bring their own equipment. Drums and Sound system provided.
All genres of music welcome.
