 PJ STEELMAN

One might say that PJ Steelman's career began at an early age. His youth is chock full of learning to play a bushel basket of different instruments and performing in bands of all varieties and genre's. But what really stole his heart was the songwriting. Always wondering about the process, and with encouragement from musicians and friends, he eventually gave in to curiosity and tried his hand at the craft. But this just served to light the fire.

Citing influences such as Mickey Newberry, Kris Kristofferson, Paul Simon, Carole King, James Taylor, Johnny Mercer and Willie Nelson, PJ's passion and interest for songwriting led to a career and he received his first cut in 2007 when Joe A. Green recorded his song 'The Good Side of Goodbye'. He currently owns his own publishing company, Fat Walter Music, and works in hand with a variety of others, such as Mel Daisy Music, Sound Determination, and Sounds Of The Hounds Publishing. He also runs his own independent record label, Blue Cypress Records, and his songs have charted both nationally and abroad. His latest CD, 'This Point In Time', received a Grammy nomination for Americana Album Of The Year. Continuing to immerse himself in the business of songs, PJ enjoys working with emerging songwriters by serving as a venue host and stage coordinator for the Annual Nashville Songwriters Festival and is currently in the studio as producer for the newest Doc Bates release. PJ is slotted to release his own 8th independent cd in the spring of 2013. Online presence can be found at www.pjsteelman.net, www.reverbnation.com/pjsteelman and www./pjsteelman.

BARBARA CLOYD

Barbara Cloyd proved her ability to write a hit song when she penned the Lorrie Morgan single "I Guess You Had to Be There." She has also proven her dedication to nurturing young talent with years of hosting writers nights in Nashville. She has presided over the Monday Night Open Mic at the Bluebird Café since 1986 and spent a decade booking the early shows at this world renowned club. Barbara ran a popular writer's night and created the Gibson Café Country Song Contest which helped many writers make contacts with publishers. Her growing reputation for spotting talent has allowed her to help several exceptional writers make connections within the industry that got them started, including: Bret Jones (Little Past Little Rock," "Don't Ask Me How I Know"), Barry Dean ("God's Will"), Marcel ("Nothing to Lose") and Anthony Smith ("If That Ain't Country," "Run"). Plus a few (like Adam James) you just haven't heard of YET. In response to frequent requests for advice and guidance she formed "Ready for the Row", a consultation service for songwriters, and regularly presents "Play For Publishers" workshops. Beyond her accomplishments in working with other writers, Barbara has kept her own music alive and has two independently produced releases on the market. Feeling perfectly at home in front of an audience with a guitar in her hand, she has continued to perform as a regular at the Bluebird Cafe, the Frank Brown Songwriters Festival and many other prestigious festivals and venues. She was recently the recipient of NSAI's prestigious 'Maggie Cavender Award' for Exceptional Service to the Songwriting Community.Web presence can be found at www.barbaracloyd.com

SCOTT SOUTHWORTH

A self professed "choir geek", Scott Southworth has always been into music. A professional songwriter/artist with a history of touring with bands, Scott was hungry to learn more about the craft and made the move to Nashville to immerse himself in the industry. Quickly realizing he had also surrounded himself with a Chamber of Commerce-estimated, 48,000 other songwriters, he came up with a clever way to gain an audience with established musicians by starting “The Music Row Show” with friend, Heino Moeller, and has since interviewed guests such as, Kathy Mattea, Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, Guy Clark, Ricky Skaggs, Ralph Stanley and Little Richard, to name just a few. On the air since 2007 and having developed a dedicated, worldwide listening audience, the program is airs on the legendary WSM, known for it's broadcasts from the Grand Ol' Opry, and is also a television program in over 250 markets on BlueHighways TV. Scott continues to perform and write regularly and has released two solo projects. Web presence can be found at www.themusicrowshow.com

CHRIS OGLESBY

In his 26 years in publishing, Chris Oglesby has worked with some of the giants in the industry. He learned the ropes at famed publishing house, Almo-Irving, and learned them well enough to sign a new writer named Craig Wiseman, who went on to become ASCAP Songwriter of the Year three times with songs like 'Live Like You Were Dying' (Tim McGraw) and 'Just Another Day In Paradise' (Phil Vassar). From there Chris teamed up with Bob Doyle (Garth Brook's manager) and Kyle Fleming (3-time BMI Writer of the Year) to launch DreamCatcher Music, then went on to a 10 year run at major label publishing house, BMG, where he worked with notable songwriters like Marcus Hummon, Hugh Prestwood, John Hiatt, Keith Follese, Rick Giles and Steven Dale Jones, to name a few, and signed emerging superstar talent like David Lee and Barry Dean. During his time at BMG, Chris was responsible for and a part of such hit songs as; 'Prayin’ For Daylight' (Rascal Flatts), 'Check Yes or No' (George Strait), 'Young' (Kenny Chesney), 'Amazed' (Lone Star), '19 Something' (Mark Wills), 'The Good Stuff' (Kenny Chesney) and “God’s Will' (Martina McBride). Chris set out on his own to form Oglesby Writer Management in April 2004 with a dedication to work with the people he loves most – the songwriters. Chris represents and has been able to land deals for newcomers, give added support to established writers and secure cowrites with the likes of Carrie Underwood.
